Code: PM-040108 – PRODUCTION MANAGER

WTAE-TV, the Hearst-Argyle ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, has an opening for a Production Manager. Applicants should have strong television studio experience as well as hands-on experience in field production, commercial production, PSA production and special projects. Applicants must possess extremely strong organizational skills and be able to interact with diverse groups of workers, often in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities include the scheduling, setup and execution of studio productions, developing production timelines for multiple projects, and weekly scheduling of satellite feeds, as well as scheduling the Station’s operations and engineering maintenance staff, directors and stagehands. The successful candidate will also schedule “Weather Watch 4” weekly school visits, and write & produce PSAs, FCC announcements and WTAE-TV’s Project Bundle-Up Telethon and On-line Auction.

Candidates should have overall knowledge of FCC broadcast, public file, programs/issues and children’s programming rules. Must be able to work weekends and various shifts when necessary. Valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record check required.
